“I knew that I wanted to become a custom home builder when I got my first construction job as a sophomore in high school,” says Gary Starbuck with great enthusiasm. “When I was going to college I was framing houses and after getting my contractor’s license in 1977, at the age of 23, I built by first custom home. Since then, I have built many homes of all sizes and styles.

In fact, Gary has built many homes in virtually all of the prestigious communities in the Sacramento area.

A recently completed Santa Barbara style home reflects the caliber and creativity of Starbuck Construction. This 5,300 square foot estate includes an eight car garage and five beautifully landscaped acres in a gated community in Loomis.

Gary explains, “In home building if you are going to build a high quality home, you must have craftsmen who really take pride in their work. I have a terrific team and they know the quality I expect. Most of them have built homes with me for years, including two people who have been on my team since the 1970’s.

Almost all of Starbuck Construction’s clients are referred by others for whom Gary has built. “I am fortunate asmany of our clients contact us with ideas, photos andcolors even before they have consulted an architect. We then come up with a preliminary floorplan that reflects what clients have told us about their lifestyle.
